In this masterclass, DMI practitioners will share with you their experiences in working with various customers on global delivery models. While the software industry has been generally using outsourcing and global delivery models for quite some time, there are unique challenges and situations when it comes to automotive engineering, especially when working around connected solutions and platforms. For example, the need to have hardware-in-loop (HIL) testing or having to test on a physical device (e.g. bench, vehicle) becomes a key constraint and therefore a potential opportunity to leverage digital twins or simulation techniques. DMI will share some examples of how they are approaching these concerns.

Additionally, as OEMs look to their trusted partners to launch or engaged in a global engineering delivery model, and as the initial efforts prove to be successful the desire is to scale out either in scope of work or new geographical locations. It then becomes essential for the delivery partners to scale up quickly and in an optimized manner in response to the OEMs’ requirements. DMI will share their experiences and lessons learned in this regard.
