George Ayres, Managing Director, AutoMobility Advisors
George Ayres is the Managing Director of AutoMobility Advisors, LLC a boutique consulting company focused on the connected, electric, and mobility vehicle market. George and the team at AutoMobility Advisors help companies create new growth, new revenue, business models, and partnerships within the automotive ecosystem.
Prior to founding AutoMobility Advisors, George was an automotive Client Partner at IBM Global Business Services, and the VP Sales at Verizon Telematics, where he was responsible for partnerships with Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Volkswagen, and State Farm Insurance among others.
George began his career at Ford Motor Company in the Customer Assistance Center where he was both a Customer Service Representative and a Supervisor. Through his many field assignments at Ford he learned the retail dealer side of the auto business, and eventually also held roles in product planning, advertising, brand management, and marketing, including serving as the VP of Marketing for Jaguar North America and the Sales Director of Ford’s Special Vehicle Team performance group.
George is a business coach for TiE University in Atlanta, which helps college students with new business ideas at Georgia Tech, and other State schools get funding and investors for their dorm room start-ups.
George has a BBA in Business from Iowa State University, an MBA from Duke University, and an Entrepreneurial Capstone Certificate from the Wharton School of Business.
