Vince Keenan, Head of Innovation Engagement, Mayor's Office of Mobility Innovation, City of Detroit
Vince Keenan is the Head of Innovation Engagement for the Detroit Mayor’s Office of Mobility Innovation. His work spans 25 years in community engagement, civic participation, and inclusive urban revitalization, helping negotiate over $5 billion worth of new development in the city in the last decade. Vince led the successful campaign to establish Detroit’s Council Districts and changed the structure of city government for the first time on 100 years. Recruited by Mayor Duggan, he served as Detroit's first District 5 Manager, Major Projects Manager and is currently working on clean freight innovation in Detroit's Eastern Market. He holds the U.S. patent for Publius, the first website that allowed voters to find their polling location, sample ballots and registration status. A lifelong Detroiter, he has lived in Washington D.C., Ann Arbor, Chicago and London, but home is with his young family in the Corktown neighbourhood of Detroit.
