Chris is a Senior Analyst at Informa Tech Automotive Group, covering the New Energy Vehicle market in China, which consists of battery-electric, plug-in hybrid, and fuel-cell vehicles, with particular emphasis on battery technologies and the supporting ecosystem around NEVs. His work serves two primary goals: to catalyze the transition from internal combustion engine vehicles to electric vehicle and to disseminate China’s vehicle electrification lessons to the global market.

Chris began his career as a transportation analyst for Washington-based Energetics. During his time there, he primarily focused on consulting projects related to transportation electrification. Prior to joining Wards, Chris worked on electrification strategy for a domestic OEM in China, where he advised on strategy around batteries, EV charging and other aspects of NEV product development. Chris holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies from the University of Richmond and a Master’s degree in Environmental Management with a specialization in Energy from Duke University.
