My name is Marian Maroki,  I was born in Baghdad, Iraq and came to the United States when I was 9 years old. Due to my parent’s sacrifice, I am proud to say that I am the first person in my family to obtain a college degree in the U.S. I graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan in May of 2023 with a dual major in Global Supply Chain Management and Marketing Management. During my time in college, I had the opportunity to intern at several different automotive companies that include Tesla, Magna International, Plastic Omnium and Unique Fabricating. Upon graduation, I began my full-time career at General Motors in the Global Purchasing and Supply Chain’s Technical Rotation and Career Knowledge (GPSC TRACK) Program. The GPSC TRACK Program has also given me the opportunity to not only utilize my skillset and degree, but it has also, allowed me to take on leadership roles within the program. I am an Internal Communications Brand Ambassador who works effortlessly to ensure that my fellow TRACK employees are introduced to multiple areas with the General Motors organization.
